Good game for the Canes. Take away the 15 yard blow to the shoulder pads that kept the TD drive alive and it gets real interesting.

Offense is still rough to watch,but that will improve with seasoning. Defense played with an old swagger that I haven't seen in a long time.

Call the helmet-first hit that Macho Harris should have got called for in the 1st half against Jacory Harris and it gets even more interesting than that.

Call the numerous holds/blocks in the back that VT didn't get called for when Tyrod scrambled.

Take back the drops that both teams' receivers had all throughout the game.

Get the review correct on Darren Evans' fumble that wasn't overturned.

You get my point...

I agree the skunks were suspect in the game. Harris should have been flagged, if not ejected for the hit. The non-fumble was a fumble. At least the Canes took the W.

neither team really impressed me

miami's D look great at times, then uninspired at times

one thing that stood out, if miami's D line could play the whole game like they are capable of, they are as good as anyone up front.

forston is gonna be a NFL player, he looked good last night.

alderius johnson is gonna be good too, but he made some bad plays last night.

how long is travis benjamin out?

Not long at all--he'll probably be ready for GT this upcoming Thursday night. Coach Shannon said in an interview today that he was knicked up but could have went back into the game if really needed. There wasn't any use in putting him back in though because Thearon Collier's essentially the same type of player out of the slot.
